A New Thought...

in Oct 14, 2022

Hey,

Hope you are doing great!

The festive season is here and so is the winter. These are two of the many things I’m most excited about, every year.

Primarily because the festive season is a reason for celebration and spending time with loved ones is always a great idea. Add to that, the cold weather makes everything better - food, conversations, etc.

With the onset of October, there is also a realization that we are in the last quarter of the year implying another year is about to end, and new beginnings are around the corner.

For me, personally, every Diwali, I visit home i.e. Ballarpur to spend some time with my parents and grandparents and relive my childhood memories. Reflecting back, a lot has changed over the years regarding how we as a family celebrated Diwali. From those days, there are a few things that I really miss and a few things have changed for the better.

For instance, I really miss decorating the home and the office for Diwali. When I was growing up, we had a different Diwali theme every year and we would decorate our home & office on those lines. For instance, one Diwali our theme was around eco-friendliness i.e. incorporating things that don’t harm the environment.

However, a few things that I didn’t resonate with was the lack of thought people put into their Diwali gifts. I mean, at some point in time, it became an activity of passing the parcel i.e. a person would gift us something and without even opening it up, we would gift the same thing to another person. At that point in time, I did wonder, what is the purpose of such gifting? Is this a part of the tradition where people are gifting just for the sake of it?

Whatever may be the reason, I hated this meaningless gifting tradition and I made a promise that I will never do the same. In fact, I started thinking what if Diwali gifts are something that adds real value to a person’s life so that they truly benefit from it.

Last year, when we started Perfora, our vision was very clear  - we want to change how people perceive oral care. In order to accomplish this, we had to think of things that haven’t been done in this category so that we are able to bring forward our viewpoint.

Last year around Diwali, we had just launched our brand and there were so many things happening that we didn’t want to put forward a half-baked strategy. We even wrote about our very First Diwali, in this newsletter.

This year, we feel we are way more ready than last year to be the GIFT OF YOUR CHOICE to someone special. We have curated a SPECIAL “JUST FOR YOU” gift box that will delight the person you are gifting. The gift box comes with a Sleek & Smart Electric Toothbrush, SLS Free Delicious Tasting Toothpaste, Alcohol-Free Refreshing Mouthwash, and Peroxide Free Teeth Whitening Powder.

BTW, if you aren’t aware or are new to the Perfora club, we do PERSONALISED ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH i.e. you can get the name of the person to whom you are gifting written on the toothbrush and the toothbrush is available in 6 beautiful colors.

Believe me,  a smart toothbrush that is personalized makes up for a thoughtful and delightful gift for anyone.

Some people might have a notion that gifting oral care doesn’t make sense and the reason would be it doesn’t look giftable or does gifting oral care to someone imply the person who is receiving the gift doesn’t have good oral health?

Well, we are addressing both these pre-conceived notions.

We have put a lot of thought into the design of our products and packaging and I can bet, Perfora’s gift collection is second to none in look and feel. You can check it out yourself here.

With respect to the second notion, gifting oral care implies you care for the overall well-being of the person and you want them to not ignore this important part of the overall health. Secondly, for the longest time, we have been gifting Perfumes and when we gift a perfume, it doesn’t imply the person has an odor problem.

Lastly, we shot something to put across our message - This Diwali burst smiles, not crackers. Please check out the video here.

It will really mean the world to us if this festive season, you gift something thoughtful and delightful. All the better, if you can gift well-designed and effective oral care :)

Love,

Jatan
